The IRBDC is unable to provide specific information as to whether individuals were publicly identified as leaders of the student movement in Guangzhou, although it would appear likely from the attached report (Asiaweek 23 June 1989) as well as the attachments which were sent to you with CHN9482, that persons were publicly identified throughout China.
