According to a representative of the Ahmadi Movement in Islam in Toronto, there is no particular non-Ahmadi Pakistani group which supports the Ahmadis, but there are "good and just" individuals who, out of good intention, assist Ahmadis whenever they can (26 Nov. 1993). Although there are no legal punishments for assisting the Ahmadis, persons who assist the Ahmadis might be humiliated or ridiculed by fundamentalists (Ibid.).

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
