Africa South of the Sahara 1990 (1989, 895) lists three Somali banks: Central Bank of Somalia with Mahmud Mohammed Nur as its governor; the Commercial and Savings Bank of Somalia, with Osman Haji Youssoufas President and Abdullahi Ahmed Afra as vice-president; and the Development Bank, headed by Adulkadir Adan Mahmud.

Information on the Somali National Bank or the Somalia Central Commercial Bank could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB.
