A check of the IRBDC's newspaper sources has not produced an article with the title "Communists Vote Themselves Out of Existence". It would be very complicated to attempt a data base search of the Vancouver Sun or Vancouver Province from Ottawa; both newspapers in Vancouver should be able to find the article upon request. As the Polish Communist Party dissolved itself at its congress on 29 January 1990 [ J. B. de Weydenthal, "Communists Dissolve Party, Set Up New Social Democratic Group", RFE/RL Report on Eastern Europe, Vol. 1, No. 7, 16 February 1990, p. 23.], the article quite likely appeared on that date or within the next two days.
