As discussed, a list of members of the Somali delegation present at the World Summit for Children of September 1990 could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB. An officer of the United Nations at the library and archives of UNICEF stated that the only listing of attenders at the World Summit for Children currently available at the UNICEF library and archives is in a special issue of the Diplomatic World Bulletin, which might not include every person who belonged to or accompanied a country's delegation at the summit (16 Aug. 1993). The officer stated that the listing for Somalia named only a person with observer status by the name of Ahmed Mohamed Farah (Ibid.). Finally, the officer stated that the records currently available to UNICEF do not indicate that a Somali head of state or representative was included in any document or statement signed at the summit (Ibid.).
Additional and/or corroborating information could not be found among the sources currently available at the DIRB.
