Sources currently available to the DIRB do not provide information on whether former Soviet citizens in the Israeli armed forces are ill-treated by other military personnel and whether there are avenues of redress. However, the attached article, which refers to the discriminatory burial of a former Soviet immigrant, might be useful.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
