According to the Embassy of Pakistan in Ottawa, every Friday is considered a holiday in Pakistan (25 Nov. 1992). Offices and most stores are supposed to close on Fridays. However, grocery stores and other businesses selling essential items would likely open on Fridays (Ibid.). Other businesses may also open, depending on the area of Pakistan where they are. In Karachi, for example, some clothing stores may open on Friday (Ibid.). Saturday is not considered a holiday, so offices and stores can be expected to be open on that day (Ibid.).
Additional and/or corroborating information could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB.
