According to a correspondent with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Munich, the law on military service in Russia was recently passed by parliament, signed by the president and published (2 March 1993). The correspondent did not have details regarding the differences between the new and former laws on military service in Russia.

A copy of the law has been requested by the DIRB and will be forwarded to you once it has been received and translated.
