Comments:
The Penal Code was approved by legislative decree in December 1962 but did not come into force until 3 April 1964. The Penal Code has not been updated since and the introduction now states that any provisions contrary to Sharia law should be disapplied and that all provisions repealed by the SOmaliland COnstitution are null and void.
