Covers the activities of the UN Mission of Support in East Timor (UNMISET) since the last report of 6 Nov. 2002 (S/2002/1223). Reviews political developments in Timor-Leste and contribution of the Mission on: support to post-independence public administration; assistance in the conduct of investigations of serious crimes; internal security and law enforcement; support for external security and territorial integrity; and assisting in the development of border security and control. Also reports on the role of the UN system and financial aspects. Includes charts on: the Mission Civilian Support Group; the UN and Timor-Leste police strength during the Mission; and the Mission military component. Timor-Leste reference map as of Nov. 2002 is also included.
