In accordance with the provisions of para. (A) of Article 42 of the Constitution,

The Revolutionary Command Council have decided in their session held on 16.4.1987, the following:

First - Every foreigner who enters to Iraq shall have to call on the hospitals of Alkindi, Alkarama or Alkadhimiya, in Baghdad, or preventive centres in Governorates within five days after the date of his entry to the country, with a view to examining him and making sure of his non-being infected by AIDS, and then to supplying him with a confirming health certificate.

Second - Every Iraqi or Arab national who enters to Iraq shall have to call on the Endemic Diseases Section, Baghdad, and preventive centres in the Preventive Services Sections, in Governorates' centres within five days after the date of his entry to the country, with a view to being supplied with the health certificate referred to in (First) of this Resolution.

Third - Medical reports issued by non-Iraqi health authorities shall not be effective for the purposes of this Resolution.

Fourth - A contravener of the provisions of this Resolution shall be fined with fine hundred Iraqi dinars or imprisoned for six months in case of not paying the fine.

Fifth - This Resolution shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette; authorities concerned are charged with the implementation thereof.
