UNHCR Engagement with National Human Rights Institutions for IDP Protection - Stocktaking Exercise

In an effort to bring together different UNHCR expertise and experience in collaborating with National Human Rights Institutions, this report was commissioned. The primary focus of this report is on UNHCR’s role as a protection actor, although naturally its actions are inextricably linked to its leadership role of the protection cluster in situations where the cluster approach is activated. This document aims to collate the experiences of UNHCR in its engagement with NHRIs thus far as a means to support a broader and more consistent institutional effort by the agency to work with NHRIs on issues of IDP protection.
