Submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 6/32. Covers the period May-Dec. 2008, and addresses in pt. 1 the status of the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement 10 years after their submission to the Commission on Human Rights, the protection of persons displaced by natural disaster, and the inclusion of the issue of internal displacement and the people it affects in peace processes; addresses in pt. 2 the Special Representative's country mission to Georgia, his working visits to 8 other countries, and other activities supporting constructive dialogue with Governments and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations involved in the response to internal displacement.
