Law No. 4112 of 7 June 1995, Amendments to the Turkish Citizenship Act

Date of entry into force: 12 June 1995

Article 1

Article 20, Section (b), of the Turkish Citizenship Act No. 403, 11 February 1964, is repealed.

Article 2

Article 29 of the Turkish Citizenship Act No. 403, 11 February 1964, is modified as follows: 1. Aliens and reserved rights Article 29 Persons who acquired the Turkish citizenship by birth and who acquired a foreign citizenship after an authorization of renunciation issued by the Council of Ministers, and their legal heirs, enjoy the same rights in matters of sojourn, travel as well as in matters of inheritance, acquisition and alienation of movables and unmovables, the same rights as Turkish citizens, unless provided otherwise for the protection of the national security and the public order in Turkey. Provisions of articles 33 and 35 remain unaffected.

Article 3

This act enters into force from the date of its publication.

Article 4

The provisions of this Act are implemented by the Council of Ministers.
