Iraq: Resolution No. 722 of 1987 (nationality)

In accordance with the provisions of para (a) of Article 42 of this constitution,
The Revolutionary Command Council have decided, in their session held on 15.09.1987, the following:
1. He who fulfills the conditions stipulated in the Article (6) of the Iraqi Nationality Law No. (43) of 1963 (as amended), and who has not applied to obtain the Iraqi nationality through the period defined therein, may submit the application within three months from the date of coming into force of this resolution.
2. A foreign woman married to an Iraqi, who fulfills the conditions stipulated in para (5) of the Revolutionary Command Council Resolution No. (180) of 03.02.1980, and who has not announced her desire to acquire the nationality of her Iraqi husband within two months from the date of coming into force of this resolution.
3. This resolution shall be valid from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
