The Portuguese Government has requested the publication of the CPT's report on the visit to Portugal from 19 to 30 April 1999 (cf. CPT/Inf (2001) 12) and of its interim and follow-up responses. The Government's followup response is reproduced in this document (for the interim response, cf. CPT/Inf (2001) 13).
