According to the Ahwazian Revolutionary Information Centre Website, the Ahwazian Arab People's Democratic Popular Front is supported by the Ahwazian Community of the UK (Ahwazian Community of the U.K. 30 May 2001). Attempts to verify this with representatives of the Ahwazian Revolutionary Information Centre and the Ahwazian Community of the UK were unsuccessful. For each group, the contact information listed on the Ahwazian Revolutionary Information Centre website was either outdated or disconnected. Replies to requests for information from the contacts listed were not received within the time constraints of this Response and those directed to AAPDPF email addresses were also without response. No further information on the AAPDPF was available among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.

Detailed information concerning the Ahwazian people and other political organizations related to Arab-Iranians is contained in IRN34773.E of 29 June 2000 and IRN29404.E of 28 May 1998.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find below the list of additional sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
