Information on this subject, other than a brief reference made in the IRBDC Question and Answer Series paper entitled Iran: Country Profile of January 1989, could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.
Human Rights Watch World Report 1994 states that "little reliable information was available about security force actions inside Iranian Kurdistan involving human rights violations" (HRW 1993, 291).
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
