Ireland: Immigration Act 2003

Comments:
The name of the Act will be changed from Immigration Bill 2002 into Immigration Act 2003. The Immigration Bill was signed into law by the President on 14 July 2003. Tthe Act has come officially into force by Commencement Order S.I. 414 of 2003. However, there is one article/section of the Act (Section 8 pertaining to Exchange of Information) that a commencement order has already been signed for in August 2003, and is therefore already in force since 7 August 2003.
