For information on the above-mentioned topics, please consult the attached facsimile sent to the DIRB on 5 June 1997 by the director of the Emigrants' Commission in Valletta. In a 5 June 1997 telephone interview, the director stated that the information in the 5 June 1997 facsimile represents the organization's viewpoint. That facsimile states that the Emigrants' Commission acts as a "UNHCR operational partner" in refugee determination. Additional information on the Emigrants' Committee and corroborating information on the above-mentioned topics could not be obtained among the additional sources consulted by the DIRB.
