Comments This report covers the progress on legal transposition of the EC Reception Directive and actual implementation of the provisions related only to material reception conditions and employment for 15 Member States. The report concludes that many EU Member States are not providing an adequate minimum standard of living for asylum seekers and that some states risk being in breach of the Directive with regards to the reduction and withdrawal of reception conditions and with granting access to the labour market for asylum seekers. The report makes recommendations to EU governments and to the European Commission.
