Bulgarians travelling to Costa Rica do not require a visa for stays of up to 30 days (Ministry of External and Religious Affairs of Costa Rica 1999; Embassy of Costa Rica 1999; TIM October 1999). An extension of stay can be arranged upon arrival (ibid.). For additional information on travel restrictions and visa requirements for Costa Rica, please see the attached excerpt from the October 1999 Travel Information Manual.
