Apart from information contained in Response to Information Request GHA26048.E of 27 January 1997 and the several other Responses to Information Requests on domestic violence in Ghana available at Regional Documentation Centres, information on avenues available to women who seek protection from domestic violence could not be found among the sources currently available to the Research Directorate.
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
