Comments	The original Act received Royal Assent on 21 March 1984 and entered into force on 1 August 1984. This compilation was prepared on 21 June 2011 by the Office of Legislative Drafting and Publishing, Attorney-General's Department, Canberra. The text of any of those amendments not in force on that date is appended in the Notes section. The operation of amendments that have been incorporated may be affected by application provisions that are set out in the Notes section. The Sex Discrimination (Operation of Legislation) Regulations 1990, made under the Act, entered into force on 1 August 1990.
