Officials say more than 60 people have been killed and scores of others injured in a wave of bombings and shootings carried out in northeast Nigeria overnight.
The attacks centered around Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state.
Witnesses said the bombs hit several targets, including churches and a police headquarters.
The Muslim sect known as Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The radical group has previously staged targeted assassinations and bombings around Nigeria's north.
