The president of the World Amazigh Congress (Congrès mondial amazigh) in Paris stated in correspondence dated 12 April 2001 that his organization was not aware of any Amazigh organizations in Libya and that it would be difficult to imagine any organization defending the interests of the Amazighen in Libya under the Kadhafi regime. The president also referred to an organization called the Libyan Tmazight Congress which was founded a few months ago in the United Kingdom.

No additional Information on Amazigh movements in Libya could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
