There is no mention of the "volunteers" in the sources regularly consulted by the DIRB subsequent to the DIRB Question and Answer paper Moldova: Internal Flight Alternatives of July 1993. A July 1993 report states, however, that the Christian-Democratic Popular Front "has lost most of its support" (RFE/RL 19-23 July 1993, 15).
This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
