A letter sent to DIRB on 23 February 1996 by the senior legal advisor of the International Tribunal in The Hague stated the following:
I can tell you that no members of the Yugoslav Air Force have been indicted by the International Tribunal.
It is not, however, our policy to disclose details of current investigations or to reveal in advance our intentions concerning future indictments. I hope that you will understand that in this very difficult and delicate area there are good reasons for such caution, and I am sorry that I cannot give you more information.
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
