A Ukrainian court has postponed a new trial of jailed former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko until mid-July.
The court also ordered a medical examination of Tymoshenko to determine whether she is fit to stand trial.
The trial concerns accusations that Tymoshenko evaded millions of dollars in taxes in connection with an energy company she headed in the 1990s.
Tymoshenko was not present the hearing on June 25, citing health problems.
European Union states have sent former Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski and Irish politician Pat Cox to observe the trial.
Tymoshenko is already serving a seven-year sentence on abuse of office charges.
She denies the accusations, claiming they are politically motivated.
Tymoshenko's case has prompted several European politicians to boycott matches at the Euro 2012 football championship, which Ukraine is co-hosting with Poland.
