A roadside bombing has killed a district police chief in southern Afghanistan.
The police chief, Rahmatullah Khan, was killed on November 3 while trying to reach a police outpost under Taliban attack in the Dand district of Kandahar Province.
The administrator of Dand district, Ahmadulah Nazik, said the police chief's bodyguard was also injured by the blast and that two insurgents were killed in the clash at the checkpoint.
