XX. RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED ON THE REPORTS OF THE FOURTH COMMITTEE
2070. Question of Gibraltar

The General Assembly, Having considered the question of Gibraltar, Having studied the chapters of the reports of the Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples relating to Gibraltar, [1] Having heard the statements made in the Fourth Committee,

1. Invites the Governments of Spain and of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to begin without delay the talks envisaged under the terms of the consensus adopted on 16 October 1964 by the Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples; [2]

2. Requests the two Governments to inform the Special Committee and the General Assembly, at its twenty-first session, of the outcome of their negotiations.
